The International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management is connecting more than 44 Associations and supporting the development of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) globally. By actively participating in shaping the global PSCM environment, we are co-creating the growth of competitiveness of PSCM in the Global economy. IFPSM is a unique international network that leverages and tackles strategic PSCM issues. It provides opportunities for the promotion of the profession, the expansion of professional skills and knowledge. It is the global platform and network where topics from PSCM are discussed, exchanged and evaluated.

The International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management holds an annual IFPSM World Summit in different member countries to foster knowledge development and sharing the best practises among its members, locally and globally.
IFPSM World Summit has been organised successfully since the first conference held in Venice, Italy in 1977. In 2019, the World Summit was held in Mombasa, Kenya with the theme “Sustainable Procurement and Supply Chain Practises for the 21st Century”. Before that the World Summit had been organised for example in Finland, Taiwan, Spain, Thailand, Sweden and China.
